make rules for others while they do just the opposite

i have an orthodox approach to writing all my academic papers. simply, i begin writing; free of ideas, arguments, thesis, and any research. along the way, i get a clue as to what it is i am exactly attempting to articulate.
then i go back write the introduction and reformulate what is a hypothesis. consider it an inductive approach to what is typically a deductive form of reasoning.
the difficulty is the not the beginning but the end.
